Student Health Insurance

  

ALL Georgia Health Sciences University students are required to have health insurance.  Pearce & Pearce, Inc. is the administrator for the USG Student Health Insurance plan selected by the University System of Georgia to serve our students.

ALL students are automatically enrolled and charged for the student health insurance premium on their PULSE account.

 

Spring 2012 -The insurance premium for students for Spring is $925.00.  The coverage period is from 1/01/2012 through 7/31/2012. 

Summer I - 2012 - The insurance premium for students for Summer I is $409.00.  The coverage period is from 5/01/2012 through 7/31/2012.

Summer II - 2012 - The insurance premium for students for Summer II is $253.00.  The coverage period is from 6/01/2012 through 7/31/2012.

For those students who will graduate in August of 2012, there will be an additional premium added to your PULSE account for one month, which will extend your coverage until 8/31/2012.  The charge for this additional coverage will be $129.00.

If you do not want to be insured under the student insurance plan, because you already have health insurance and want to continue your current coverage under that plan, please go to the “Waiver Application” section of our website for directions on how and when to apply for an insurance waiver.

If your waiver application is approved, a credit will be posted on your PULSE account for the insurance premium amount.
