Fire Safety Office
The Fire Safety Office is part of the Georgia Regents University's Environmental Health
& Safety Division. Walter Loring is the Director and Interim Associate Vice President
of the Environmental Health & Safety Division.
The Fire Safety Office (FSO) is committed to providing a safe environment for faculty,
staff, students and visitors. The goal of the FSO program is to minimize the risk
of fire or injury to faculty, staff, students and visitors by ensuring that they have
the training, information, and support needed to work and learn safely on the GRU
campus. This is accomplished through the safety programs described on our web site.
The Fire Safety Office is open Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:30PM. We are located in
Pavilion I (AE building) on the second floor rooms AE-2048, 2054, 2058. Telephone:
(706) 721-2663, Fax: (706) 721-7574. We have voice mail so that you may leave a message
24 hours a day. In case of emergencies, call the GRU Police at (706) 721-2911.
