Welcome to the 2012-2013 State Charitable Contributions Campaign!
In 1982, the Georgia General Assembly established the annual program to enable state employees a convenient means to contribute to participating charitable organizations through payroll deductions. Employees can make unrestricted donations or contribute to a specific organization. Independent and federated charities supported by the campaign provide health, welfare and educational programs to individuals across Georgia.
The Annual Pledging Campaign is here again and you have a wonderful opportunity to make someone else’s life a little bit easier. Between now and November 30, 2012, you can make a pledge in the State Charitable Contributions Program. through the on-line pledging site for State of Georgia and University Employees: Give at the Office. It is an easy, paperless way to make a one-time or a payroll deduction pledge to a charity of your choice. We have environmental Charities, Animal Charities, and Human Health service Charities. Something for everybody! The Give at the Office site is faster, it’s more efficient, and its miles more convenient.
Your Small change can make a big change! You would be surprised at what even a donation of $10.00 a month makes. If each employee pledged a $10.00 monthly payroll deduction, we would be able to help the community by donating almost $15 million dollars! That is just two McDonalds or Subway meals a month – or 2 Starbucks Coffees.
This campaign lasts through November 30, 2012. Please give what you can. There is no such thing as "too small a donation" - every $ counts!
