Remote Services Put Dancing Teen Back on Her Toes

Last spring, Madeleine Lovett nervously sat in her high school nurse’s office listening to and feeling her heart beat at an alarming rate.

“I felt like I was having a heart attack,” recalls the 16-year-old. “It wasn’t painful, but it was beating really fast and hard.” Madeleine had a heart rate of more than 300 beats per minute. “This was the first we’d heard of Madeleine experiencing this, but it was her third episode,” says her mom, Della. “She hadn’t mentioned the first two because they’d subsided quickly.” >> More

Never losing faith: Prayer guides family through life-saving surgery

To say Wilton Holiday is a survivor is a gross understatement. “He’s a miracle,” said his sister Emily, 15. “Yeah. He’s taught me to enjoy every second of life; to take nothing for granted,” said his brother Brenton, 17. “I’m never ashamed to tell my story,” said Wilton, the oldest child of a Baptist preacher. “I’m not ashamed to tell what God has done for me. He really delivered me.” Wilton and his mother were driving Emily and Brenton to Blackville-Hilda High School in Barnwell County, S.C., on March 1, 2010. Another motorist ran a stop sign, hit their car and spun it into a tree. “I’ll never forget that date,” Wilton said. “But at the same time, I don’t remember anything about what happened.
