The Branan Graduate Nursing Scholarship is a scholarship established to advance nursing research by facilitating the studies of a graduate nursing student who best demonstrates promise for exemplary research. The award will be determined by the recipient’s academic record and clarity of research goals and may be given to more than one student per academic year (not to exceed $2,000 in total awards). This award may be used by students for tuition, research, professional travel, or other expenses directly related to their program of study.

Application Information

Scholarship applicants must:

1. Be a full time PhD student
2. Demonstrate superior performance in prior academic programs
3. Exhibit well-defined goals for doctoral study as evaluated by personal statement
4. Show evidence of outstanding professional contributions to the nursing profession and the health care arena with an emphasis on research potential and productivity as the student progresses in the program
