Spasticity Clinic

The spasticity management service offered at the Augusta MS Center evaluates adults with spasticity, for intrathecal baclofen therapy. Issues addressed during patient visits include but are not limited to physical therapy, medication and surgical intervention. Our patients include those with Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Cord Injury, and others with spasticity that can not be controlled with oral medications. Our spasticity team evaluates the patient s needs for therapeutic intervention and possible baclofen pump placement.
