The Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior is fortunate to 'host' two specialist psychiatric journals, Clinical Schizophrenia and Related Psychoses and Journal of Dual Diagnosis. Dr. Peter Buckley leads a world-renowned editorial board team for this new, clinically-oriented journal, Clinical Schizophrenia & Related Psychoses. We are fortunate also to collaborate on this journal with Dr. Deanne Kelly and Ms. Karen Horn in the Department of Psychiatry at University of Maryland.

We are also grateful to Ms. Gareth Fenley, Peer Support Specialist in the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior at the Medical College of Georgia. Ms. Fenley who hosts a Consumer section for the journal. Clinical Schizophrenia & Related Psychoses has just received the 2008 Gold Award from M&M Publishing Organization as Best Healthcare Business Publication in 2008 (See announcement at http://www.clinicalschizophrenia.net).

Our Department also leads a specialist journal on the topic of substance abuse and mental illness, the Journal of Dual Diagnosis. Ms. Karen La Fontaine adminstrates this journal with great expertise.

These two journals are an important academic contribution to psychiatry and they give tremendous national visibility for our Department of Psychiatry. We are fortunate to have this opportunity.
