Online Testing

Respondus Version 4.0

Respondus is a powerful tool for creating and managing exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to GeorgiaVIEW Vista. Exams can be created offline using a familiar Windows environment. Whether you are a veteran of online testing or relatively new to it, Respondus will save you hours on each project.

LockDown Browser™

GHSU has acquired a license for LockDown Browser. After much research and extensive testing, LockDown Browser has been found to be an easy, secure online testing solution for faculty and students. Unlike SecureExam browser, this solution is integrated with GeorigaView Vista. LockDown Browser is a secure browser for taking assessments in GeorgiaView Vista. It prevents printing, copying, going to another URL, or accessing other applications during a assessment. Recommended wired testing labs include AB127, AB138, AB163, EC1204, EC1216, and EC1231.

ExamSoft

ExamSoft is a secure online testing software in use by Medical College of Georgia and College of Dental Medicine. It is slated to be adopted by College of Allied Health Sciences in Fall 2012. The software allows very granular control over the exam contents, release times, and upload times. The interesting part of ExamSoft is that all exams are actually downloaded to a user's computer. This prevents the user from requiring an Internet connection to take the exam. All downloaded content is in an encrypted format. ExamSoft supports Windows and Macintosh clients.

NBME

NBME exams are exams purchased online via departments. These exams are taken in wired computer labs due to the exam being delivered in a secure means online. NBME will send out a packet that includes lab certification instructions to ensure there will be no issues during the online exam. NBME exams support Windows and Macintosh clients. Recommended wired testing labs include AB127, AB138, AB163, EC1204, EC1216, and EC1231.
