Transition in Technology Services Leadership

In late December, Technology Services welcomed Beth Brigdon, the former University CIO and current Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness, to the Interim CIO role for the Georgia Health Sciences enterprise until a permanent CIO is named through the ongoing search process led by Drs. Jim Rawson & Ed Inscho. Beth has been with the University since 2003 and worked in various capacities within the University System of Georgia since 1982. We also bid farewell and extend our thanks to Helen Thompson for her service to the organization, first as Interim CIO for the GHS Health System and later as Interim CIO for the GHS enterprise.

Beth’s priorities include working with the Technology Services leadership team and staff members to integrate services and processes to build greater efficiencies and improved effectiveness, while also working with the operational unit leaders to prioritize the areas in which we need to focus to improve our services and systems.
