Georgia Prevention Center News GHSU team looking at cause, prevention of diabetes. High hormone levels put young black males at risk for cardiovascular disease. A landmark guide for assessing psychosocical issues for individuals with diabetes as just been published and edited by Dr Deborah Young-Hyman. Summer medical students, Brandon Fox, Rachel Elam, and Michael Pham were selected to present their research at the 2013 Southern Society for Pediatrics Research in New Orleans in February. Dr. Shaoyong Su has been chosen to recieve the Scott Grundy Award for Excellence in Metabolism Research and will present his work at AHA EPI/NPAM Scientific Sessions next March. |
