SACSCOC Accreditation

Along with the Vice President, who serves as the institution’s Accreditation Liaison to the SACSCOC, the Office of Accreditation develops and maintains processes and support materials to assist enterprise leaders and administrators with ongoing compliance with regional accreditation standards. Services apply to decennial reaffirmation of accreditation, the Fifth-Year Review, substantive changes, and any special requests from the SACSCOC. Specifically, the office provides the following services:

 Provides guidance to enterprise units affected by SACSCOC standards (e.g., academic programs, facilities, enrollment management, library, etc.) to ensure they are collecting and maintaining documentation to support the case for ongoing compliance when reporting to SACSOC is required.

  • Monitors changes to the SACSCOC accreditation standards, policies, and guidelines and communicates changes to appropriate enterprise stakeholders.
  • Leads ongoing cross-divisional verification of faculty credentials per the SACSCOC standards, policies, and guidelines. This effort involves collaboration with the Office of Institutional Research, the Division of Human Resources, the Division of Technology Services, the Division of Enrollment Management, and the Office of the Vice President for Academic and Faculty Affairs (title?).
  • Coordinates all SACSCOC-related events, including visits from On-Site Review Committees.
